IMPACT ECU CERTIFICATION

The Impact Wiring Solutions 3-Day ECU Tuning Certification Class is an intensive, hands-on program focused exclusively on ECU calibration and tuning. The course covers fuel and ignition modeling, load and torque strategies, boost control, drivability refinement, and data analysis, with an emphasis on safe, repeatable tuning workflows. Participants gain real-world tuning experience, learn professional calibration techniques, and earn an ECU tuning certification upon successful completion.

The course covers fuel and ignition modeling, load and torque strategies, boost control, drivability refinement, and data analysis, with an emphasis on safe, repeatable tuning workflows. Participants gain real-world tuning experience, learn professional calibration techniques, and earn an ECU tuning certification upon successful completion.

Certified IMPACT Tuners and Dealers are expected to demonstrate professional-level ECU calibration competency. At a minimum, certification requires the ability to:

  • Safely update ECU firmware

  • Load, verify, and validate a base calibration

  • Correctly configure TunerStudio for tuning, including ETB and TGS calibration

  • Properly dial in cold start, hot start, and warm-up strategies

  • Diagnose and resolve hanging or unstable idle conditions

  • Operate a chassis dyno or be actively in the process of acquiring one
