HARLEY-BASED TUNING COURSE

What’s included: all hands-on tuning is done on our two 2025 Harley-Davidson dyno bikes (a Street Glide and a Road Glide), so you don’t need to bring a bike, tuner or cables. The course covers Dynojet, Direct Link, ThunderMax and Impact Wiring Solutions. You also get a free lunch every day, drinks and snacks, the FASTTUNES course manual, a FASTTUNES USB drive, pads and pens, and Cardo headsets for talking on the dyno. A laptop isn’t required but is strongly recommended.

Class Hours & Location

  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily (Central Time), all four days, Thursday through Sunday

  • Please arrive by 7:45 AM on Day 1 so we can get your laptop set up and start on time

  • FASTTUNES, 710 4th Street NW, Red Bay, Alabama 35582

  • Limited to 6 students, so you get real hands-on time on the dyno

 
What We Will Cover

  • Day 1: Classroom fundamentals, then hands-on with Dynojet Power Vision / Power Core

  • Day 2: Continue Dynojet, then start DirectLink (TechnoResearch)

  • Day 3: Finish DirectLink, then move into ThunderMax

  • Day 4: Impact Wiring Solutions (Impact ECU)

 
What We Provide

  • Free lunch every day, plus free drinks and snacks all day

  • The FASTTUNES Dyno Tuning Course Manual – your printed training book to follow along and keep

  • A FASTTUNES logo USB drive to take your tune files and class materials home

  • Notepads and pens for taking notes

  • Cardo communication headsets so we can talk with each other on the dyno

  • Two dyno bikes for all hands-on tuning – our 2025 Street Glide and 2025 Road Glide. You do not need to bring a bike, tuning devices or cables.

 
What to Bring

  • A Windows laptop with its charger – not mandatory, but strongly recommended. During the classroom sessions you use it to walk through each tuning program with us, so you leave knowing the software.

  • A USB mouse (much easier than a touchpad when editing tables)

  • Closed-toe shoes or boots and clothes you do not mind getting dirty – this is a working shop

 
Laptop Requirements (if you bring one)

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit). Mac and Chromebook computers will not work – all four tuning programs are Windows software.

  • At least 8 GB of RAM; an SSD hard drive is recommended

  • At least one USB-A port (or a USB-C to USB-A adapter) for your FASTTUNES USB drive

  • Administrator rights to install software and drivers. Company-owned laptops are often locked down – check with your IT department before class.

 
Software
You will use Dynojet Power Core, TechnoResearch DirectLink, ThunderMax and IWS TunerStudio (all free downloads). After you enroll, we email you step-by-step install instructions 14 days and again 7 days before class, so you can install everything at home and get on the dyno sooner.
 
Getting Here & Where to Stay
Red Bay is in the northwest corner of Alabama on the Mississippi state line, in the Central Time Zone. Plan on having your own vehicle or a rental car. Nearest airports: Muscle Shoals (MSL) and Tupelo (TUP), about 1 hour; Huntsville (HSV), about 2 hours; Birmingham (BHM) and Memphis (MEM), about 2½ hours.
For hotels, cabins and B&Bs within about 45 miles, plus places to eat, see Visiting Red Bay. Red Bay is a small town, so book early.
